Random thoughts

Took the boys to see the new Santa Clause3 movie on Sunday.  Not bad.. i think it's actually rated G, which is unusual.  However, what makes me shake my head is how every last ounce of Jesus has been squeezed out of these Santa Clause movies.  Not a cross to be found.  Not a hint of Christianity.. in effect, Christmas has morphed into a fat man in a funny suite who uses magic to spread "holiday" cheer.  Very disappointing.

Driving down the road on Monday I pulled up behind a car with Florida license plates.  On the plate is a website promoting Florida, at http://www.myFLORIDA.com.  Going there, the site says it's the "Official Portal of The State of Florida".  All well, but I seem to recall from time to time seeing Oregon plates that must date back 20 years... what's going to happen 20 years from now when this guy is still driving that car, with those same plates?  Dont' they realize links go dead??  I find this kind of a mockery of all things high tech.  No class.

Had a great meeting with Rocio and the OMT group yesterday at Sunset to discuss Latino community outreach.  I'll post the meetings notes later.
